SEM Screws and Dome Cap Nuts

SEM Screw with Tiles Washers
SEM (short for pre-as-”SEM”-bled) Screws with Tiles Washers are produced with permanently affixed washers. They are applicable for circumstances where restrictions limit separate placement of a screw and washer. They also provide an extremely secure fit and help reduce manufacturing expenses. SEM Screw with Tiles Washers are used in various manners, especially with automobiles and aeronautics.
Dome Cap Nut for Auto Wheels
Dome Cap Nuts are Hex Nuts with a dome like finish. They are used to cap off protruding ends of screws and bolts. They lessen the possibility of injuries and property damage. They are widely used with electronics, furniture, and automobiles.
Center Lock Hex Nut

All lock nuts resist loosening. There are different kinds of lock nuts, each of which achieves that goal in a different way. A Center Lock Hex Nut has a distorted thread section that keeps it secure.

Stainless Steel Thumb Nut

Thumb Nuts are often used for fortifying panels and sub-assemblies that need to be readily detached, as well as those used for decorative, finished appearances. They are tightened and loosened with finger pressure only, no tools. Stainless Steel is used as it resists corrosion and remains stable in high and low temperatures.

Nut setters have magnetized shafts that securely hold fasteners for ease of use with impact tools.

Lock Nuts

A nut is fastener with a threaded hole. They are used with bolts to fasten objects together. There are various types of nuts, including the standard kinds one would typically find in a hardware store, and particular nuts designed for specific needs. Machinery and engines also rely on nuts and bolts to secure components. Nuts typically loosen over time and all the more quicker when they’re used on certain machines, as vibrations accelerate the process. And, a loose nut can cause problems in buildings and machinery.
Lock nuts offer a solution. As their name suggests, lock nuts resist loosening. There are various kinds. Which to use depends upon the particular project. Some of those kinds include:

o Nylon Lock Nut. Nylon Lock Nut have a nylon insert that wraps around the threads and locks the nut in place. As a result, the vibrations don’t affect the nut.

o Center Lock Nut. Center Lock Nuts have a distorted thread section that keeps it from loosening.

o Flange Lock Nut. Flange Lock Nuts utilize a washer-like base to allocate force over a larger area and keep the lock tight. The base may be serrated to further keep the nut from rotating. They’re mostly used where a single fastener is needed and to join wood and plastic.

o Metal Insert Lock Nut. Like Center Lock Nut, Metal Insert Lock Nuts distorting the nut threads, which then “bites” into the mating part of the bolt when tightened.

o Aluminum Nylon Lock Nuts. Nylon Lock Nuts that come in a coated aluminum and in various colors.
With regard to reusing lock nuts, Internet research found sites that said, yes, you could reuse them, and sites that said, no, you can never reuse them. Proceed with caution.

CNC Machines

Computer Numerical Control Machines or CNC Machines refers to computer operated equipment. Basically, the operator inputs programs onto the computer and then the machine follows the program. The programs can then be reused, edited or deleted.

Examples of CNC Machines include:

o CNC Milling Machines: These use rotating cylinder-shaped cutting tools to both drill and cut. It is the most common CNC Machine.

o CNC Machine Lathes: A standard lathe is a machine that rotates on an axis to shape and form various materials. A CNC Machine Lathe allows the operator to do the same and/or more complex work in less time and with less effort.

o Plasma Cutters: Plasma cutting torches are normally used to cut metals. Hand-held torches gouge and remove faulty welds. Hand held torches can and have been used in the past to cut small shapes, but achieving accuracy wasn’t easy. A CNC Plasma Cutter, however, can make precise cuts.

o CNC Router. This machine cuts plastic, wood, and sheet metal on an X, Y and Z axis (essentially relating to three-dimensional items) and is usually used for preparing larger projects.

These are just a few examples of CNC Machines. There are others.

Here are a few examples of the industries that use CNC Machines:

o Food Processing Companies
o Chemical Processing Companies
o Pharmaceutical Businesses
o Railroad Companies
o Aircraft Manufacturers
o Automobile Manufacturers
o Metal Removers and Fabricators
o Electrical Discharge Machineries

Of course, technology plays a significant role in the development of CNC Machines. And, as technology advances, so will CNC Machines’ potential. That is, as long as the machines’ parts remain superior. Truth is, no matter how sophisticated the computer or brilliant the operator, inferior elements will always sabotage the machine.
